PRIMORDIAL MEDITATION with SHELLEY TOMCZYK

A 3-hour Experiential Workshop

This three-hour practice is offered in quiet acknowledgement of Hanuman Jayanti, a day in the Eastern tradition that honors Hanuman—not as an object of worship or borrowed ritual, but as an archetype of awakened vitality, disciplined devotion, and the subtle intelligence that links breath, body, and awareness.

In the mythology, Hanuman’s shapeshifting is not mere legend but an expression of an innate human capacity: the movement from the vast stillness of Shiva-consciousness into embodied presence in service of the heart. His journey to find Sita and create relationship with Ram is the call to enter that heart-space, and from there to discover the hidden cave of the Goddess—the place of living Shakti.

Primordial Meditation follows a parallel stream found in the ancient Western world: a deliberate withdrawal, a laying down, a relinquishing of effort so that deeper knowing may arise. As Peter Kingsley reminds us, “In the ancient world, philosophy was a way of life.” In the tradition of Parmenides, this meant incubation—entering stillness not to think, but to receive.

One “lies down” as if in a cave or temple, allowing the surface mind to yield. In this giving up, attention reorganizes itself, and something older than thought begins to speak.

This workshop is a preparation for that inner shapeshifting to arise naturally, allowing each participant to enter their own chamber of attention. In states of profound rest and letting go, medicine, insight, or necessary guidance may emerge.

Drawing from both Eastern and Western wisdom traditions, the practice rests on a simple recognition: the body knows.

Everyone is welcome. Expect a dynamic, shape-shifting asana and pranayama practice before a long meditation.

THE ART OF VINYASA SEQUENCING with CLARA Roberts-Oss

A 3 Day Workshop for yoga teachers and students alike.

June 5-7, 2026

Spend 3 days with Clara going over how she puts together creative, integrated and accessible vinyasa yoga classes. Based on Shiva Rea’s Wave Theory, this workshop will dissect how to  create vinyasa classes based on “peak poses” as well as on Bhav (feeling, mood). There will be a two hour practice and then discussion. We will go over vinyasa krama (steps) for more intermediate/advanced poses to offer in open level classes.

Friday- 1:30-5pm

Introduction to Wave Theory

We'll go over: what is wave theory, what makes a peak pose, going over the 5 families of poses. We'll create a one hour class together. The day will end with a 1 hour practice to experience the class.

Saturday & Sunday 1:30 - 5pm

We'll start with a 2 hour vinyasa practice working towards a peak pose with many modifications along the way to demonstrate the many ways we can make the poses accessible to the diverse bodies that come to yoga. After we'll go over the class and there will be an opportunity to ask any questions.

Saturday we'll continue sequencing based on peak pose. Also covered will be how to counter and neutralize the body in the floor series.

Sunday we'll go into creating classes based on a philosophical theme and how to weave that into a peak pose based class.

Bio: Clara Roberts-Oss has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching for 23 years. Holding an ERYT-500, Clara brings extensive knowledge to her classes and trainings, having over 1000 hours of education in vinyasa sequencing, anatomy and philosophy. Her most influential teachers have been Shiva Rea, Uma Saraswati, Daniel Odier, Ana Forrest, Rod Stryker and Louis Etting.

"One of my greatest passions is sequencing and how to create accessible and creative classes. I have been offering this program since 2007 and can't wait to share it with you!"
