Dani Hébert
CO-OWNER & DIRECTOR ONE YOGA VAN
My background in yoga began with a casual practice over 20 years ago. Gradually I became dedicated to a daily practice and curious about the power of Yoga. I began seeking the deeper aspects of the practice. That led me to my first teacher training in 2013. From there I have studied with Manju Jois (Ashtanga Vinyasa), Gert van Leeuwen (Critical Alignment Yoga and Therapy), eventually this magical path led me to my love, partner, and teacher Ryan Leier.
I am blessed to be studying with Sri T Krishnmacharya’s youngest child, Sri Shubha who embodies the lightness and love of an authentic lifelong Yogini.
Art-making has always been a part of my life and I am midway through a master’s in Art Therapy, I am working on creating offerings that combine art making and yoga.
My teaching style generally incorporates Vinyasa Yoga movement mixed with Buddhist mindfulness practice to bring people fully into the moment and into their bodies. I do my best to uphold the teachings that have been passed to me for example I like to begin and end with a Sanskrit prayer and always incorporate Pranayama, the traditional Yogic Breathwork into the practices.
My classes are founded in the guiding principle that yoga is a holistic wellness system, so I give more focus on serving students’ needs and choosing poses from a therapeutic lens rather than on the aesthetic value.
