MAYA CHANG

With thoughtfully-crafted yoga sequences (vinyasa) exploring the mind-body-energetic connection, Maya aims to hold a safe space for students to trust their own inner wisdom.

In 2023, Maya advanced studies in Chennai, India with Radha Sridhar and D.V. Sridhar as part of a 1000-hour certificate and practicum at Yoga Therapy International, specializing primarily in mental health.

Much of Maya’s time in BC has been spent in the community of Lytton, where in 2007 she established a community-based yoga practice after earning her 200-hour teaching certificate at Yandara Yoga Institute. As founder of Two Rivers Yoga and Wellness, Maya offers one-on-one private Yoga Therapy to those affected and displaced by wildfires and climate disasters.

She currently resides and works in Vancouver on the traditional unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. The heartbeat of her work is inspired by the landscape and community of the Nlaka’pamux and the boundless energy and generosity of Nature.

Class description
